When a message is selected or opened in its own tab, Yahoo displays basic headers: click on the dropdown arrow to show or hide the headers to their minimum (subject line, sender, and date).
To view a message's headers, right-click on it in the listing and choose "View Full Header":
Tip: you can also access that command from the "Actions" menu when an email is selected.
A popup opens, with all headers in text-selectable format - here are common header fields: • "X-Apparently-To" indicates the recipient(s) of the message.
• "Reply-To" contains the address to which your response will go (typically same as sender's).
• "X-Originating-IP" shows the sender's IP address, or at least his mail server's.
• "Date" shows when the email was sent (in GMT), which may differ from the "Received" timestamp.
• "X-Mailer" tells you which email program was used to send that message.
• "Content-Language" includes language codes like "en-us" that reflect the sender's email program setting, or the browser and operating system used (in the case of a webmail client).
