- The new Yahoo Mail uses the "Blue" theme by default: not only can you change color scheme, you can also use custom background images to liven up your experience.
- From your inbox page, go to "Options > Themes" (top left corner).
- Click on a preview swatch from the theme picker popup, applied right away: there are 10 solid colors to choose from, all 61 remaining themes include a picture (and matching colors!)
Tip: if you are using a very slow connection and/or an underpowered netbook, stick to solid color themes, which consume a tad less memory (RAM).
- If you are visually impaired or checking your emails in bright sunlight, consider the "Black" theme (very bottom, scroll down to see it), which offers the highest contrasts overall:
- Click the "x" close button or "Done" button to return to your emails.
