- Outlook 2010 uses by default a "Silver" theme (aka "color scheme"). To make it look like Outlook 2007, switch to the "Blue" theme - Office 2010 apps also include a "Black" theme.
- Click on the "File" menu (top left) and choose "Options".
- Make sure that "General" is selected on the left.
- Select another theme from the "Color scheme" dropdown.
- Click "OK" to apply (and repeat until you find your favorite scheme!)
- Here's a preview of the three color schemes applied to Outlook 2010: black, silver, and blue - respectively. These themes also affect the status bar and other interface controls. We have noticed absolutely no difference in performance or other issues for any of these.
Note: Office 2010 unfortunately doesn't let you have separate themes for each application; if you apply the blue scheme to Outlook, you can't have the silver or black scheme for Word.
