- Amazon's Silk browser stores browsing history as you surf the web, autocompletes suggestions when typing in the address bar, and stores most visited sites in the new tab page. Kindle doesn't (yet) support anonymous browsing, but you can manually erase "sensitive" pages.
- To remove a page from New Tab screen thumbnails, tap and hold: when the option menu opens, choose "Delete". You'll get a "History item removed" confirmation at the bottom.
- To view your web browsing history, tap on the menu button in the Options bar at the bottom:
Tip: tap on any URL / web page title to open it in the browser, or hit the bookmark icon to save it!
- Hit the "History" label and clock icon on the left: the list of URL will appear, organized by date: "Last 7 days", "Last month", and "Older" - tap on any of these headers to show or hide their content.
- To delete one address from history, tap on it and hold: hit Delete in the menu (last option).
- To clear the entire history cache: tap on the "Clear All" button (top right), and confirm with OK.
Note: you can also clear your cache by tapping on the menu button and choosing "Settings" on the right. Under "Saved Data", hit on "Clear History" and tap OK to confirm.
- Caution: the "Clear Cache" command in that same screen deletes information websites stored on your Kindle Fire (aside from cookies). In most cases, you should leave that information.
- Tap on the back button when you are done.
