- The fastest way to fill your address book is to import contacts from a text file, from another webmail provider or email program (the painful alternative being to manually add them one at a time!)
Tip: without such a file, you'll need to export contacts from the other service / app. Export from email programs:

Export from webmail providers:
Gmail | Hotmail | Outlook.com | Yahoo Mail - Login to your account, and access your address book by clicking Contacts on the left:
- Click on the Tools menu (gear icon), and choose "Import".
- A popup will open with three choices: "CSV" (which stands for Comma-Separated Values), is the most commonly exported format. Pick "TXT" (plain text file) or "LDIF" (much less common) otherwise. Click "Browse for file" to pick your contact file on your computer.
- Click "Import" - AOL Mail will display a "Importing contacts: Please do not navigate away from this page" message during the process, which takes place in real time, in front of you.
- When that message disappears, you can close the Import dialog by clicking on the "x".
- All your old contacts have been added! Mouse over any of them and click "Edit" to update their information. To delete duplicates or people you didn't mean to import, select their checkbox on the left, and click "Delete" at the top (AOL will show a confirmation at the bottom).
