- Type "user picture" in the start menu and click "Change your account picture".
Tip: to change another user's picture, click on "User Accounts" (in address bar); next, click "Manage another account"; double-click on another user; click "Change the picture".
- Your (or the other user's) current picture is shown at the top, and selected in the listing.
- Select one of the 36 standard icons and click "Change Picture" (bottom right).
- Click on "Browse for more pictures" (bottom left) to use a picture on your PC, or paste the URL of a photo in the Open dialog - any of these file types:
bmp,dib,rle,gif,jpg, orpng. Windows 7 will automatically resize and crop to a square the image as needed.
- You'll be redirected to the previous screen, with a preview of your new account picture in small version; press the Windows logo key and L (or click "Lock" from the start menu) to lock your computer and see how the large version looks on the logon screen.
