To insert an upside down exclamation mark in your Word 2007 / 2010 / 2013 documents, the easiest way is to use a very-easy-to-remember keyboard shortcut: to type a regular exclamation point, you know that you just need to press Shift and the number 1. Just remember to hold down Ctrl and Alt at the same time, and you'll get your Spanish exclamation punctuation mark! Here's the full keystroke: Ctrl+Alt+Shift+1
Tip: if you're not sure whether a letter "i" is selected, just look above the AutoCorrect button. Word gives you a description of the currently selected symbol - in this case, "Inverted Exclamation Mark".
Tip # 2: also notice in the screenshot that Microsoft Word keeps track of the 16 most recently used symbols: just double-click on any of them to insert them into your document! In this short tutorial, you've learned no less than three different ways to add this special punctuation mark on the page. Best of all these three techniques works exactly the same way in Word 2013, Word 2010, and Word 2007!
